A Little About Me

Service, leadership, and client focus are the foundational values of Kite Law. Everything we do flows from that.

My goal in everything we do, in and out of the courtroom, is to make my clients’ lives better in genuine, tangible ways. I believe that the best formula for achieving this goal is leadership-minded service and service-minded leadership. My firm is different than many others around here, and that’s unapologetically by design. When the old-school model fails to deliver for the people who need it, it’s better to be different.

I believe in the power of communication, trust, and respect to change lives and raise the standard of criminal defense in Western North Carolina.

I live in Waynesville with my incredible wife, Karen. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading good books, eating good food, driving and working on my truck, and watching college football.

I’ve been all over the world, and I can tell you without hesitation that these mountains are the best place on God’s green Earth. It is a privilege to practice law here and to represent good mountain people.
